SaddleRSVPs for the wedding site you already built
You can build a beautiful wedding site on Canva and it will not collect a single RSVP. The Knot and Zola will collect them — but only from a site built on The Knot or Zola. So couples build the site they want, then bolt a Google Form onto it, and the form is where it falls apart.
The Google Form and the +1 problem
A form has a name box, and a name box takes any name. Someone brings a guest who was never invited. Someone invited as a pair answers for one and you cannot tell whether the other is coming. The answers land in a spreadsheet you retype into a seating plan, and the people who never answered are the ones you end up chasing by text anyway — which is what the website was supposed to stop.

Where it goes wrong
- A name box anyone can type into
- Nothing connects an answer to an invitation. A plus-one exists because someone typed one, not because you offered one.
- Answers you count by hand
- Meals, dietary needs and which of the three events each person is coming to, retyped from a spreadsheet into a seating plan and then into a number for the caterer.
- The chase
- The week replies are due you are still missing most of them, and the only tool you have for that is texting people one at a time.
- Changes that arrive as messages
- Someone who said yes in March cannot come in June, so they text you, and now the spreadsheet and the truth have quietly separated.
What the page actually has to do
- A guest list you set, not a box they fill in
- People find themselves on the list you loaded. A plus-one appears only where you granted one, so the count cannot inflate itself.
- One link that drops into the site you already made
- It is a normal web address. Put it behind a button on your Canva site, in the invitation, or on a QR code on the card — the site stays exactly as you built it.
- An answer they can come back and change
- Guests sign in, so the person who changes their mind changes their own answer, on their own phone, instead of texting you about it.
- A number you can hand the caterer
- Meals and dietary needs counted as they arrive, and the whole list exports as a spreadsheet when you need to bring it with you.

Guests sign in, and the reply belongs to the person rather than to the browser — so someone who answers on a laptop changes it later on their phone, instead of messaging you about it. Signed out, the page says so plainly rather than pretending to load.

Questions
Do I have to rebuild my wedding website?
No. The RSVP page is its own page on its own link. You add a link or a button to the site you already made — on Canva, Squarespace, Notion, anywhere — and everything else stays as it is.
Can I control who gets a +1?
Yes. Describe the rule when you describe the app: who is invited alone, who is invited with a guest, who brings children. The page then only offers what you actually offered.
Do guests need to make an account?
Your call. Signing in is what lets someone come back later and change their own answer without messaging you. If you would rather not ask that of people, the page can take answers with no account at all.
Can I see who hasn’t replied yet?
Yes, if you load the guest list into the app — the people with no answer against their name are the list you still have to chase.
Can it collect money for the honeymoon fund?
No. Saddle apps do not process payments. Keep the registry or fund wherever it is now and link to it from the same page.
